The context
World Health Organization monitors outbreaks and potential high risk situations all around the world in order to assist governments and private and public organizations to deliver an effective response to epidemics, natural disasters or general healthcare emergencies. Relief Applications goal in this project was to offer WHO staff a resilient platform able to work in any environment, including areas with limited connection availability in the field.
The challenge

Offer WHO staff access to the lists of all active emergencies through their phones, tablets and computers

Create a system able to offer access to the information when the user is offline or with limited connection

Easy to manage for any member of the organization, independently of their technological knowledge

Progressive web development with compatibility with secure log-in using Microsoft WHO accounts

Alerts are synchronized when the user is online and can be saved to access offline

Drag and drop task system that allows creating a new task or editing an existing one, attach documents etc. online or offline
