The context

The client International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC) was created to enable people in need to access optimal HIV Treatment, expanding its work recently to also advocate for access to appropiate medicines and quality healthcare for people with TB, Hepatitis and other chronic and life- threatening conditions (hypertension, diabetes). The project The organization manages sensitive information from diverse partners  and community members. In the light of the kind of data that ITPC processes, it has to pay special attention to its data security policy. ITPC sought to create a new Data Security and Protection Policy to be compliant with the most updated national and European legislations, therefore they asked Relief Applications to elaborate a Data Protection Guide to help ITPC comply with Data Protection standards set by the GDPR and POPIA.
