RA´s vision is helping people in need by providing tech tools to International Development and the Humanitarian world. By closing the technological gap, we aim to make the humanitarian sector more efficient (work better, faster, easier and cheaper).
As a roadmap to a more peaceful equal world for everyone, RA embeds the sustainability goals across all its projects as well as within its internal team.
Our objective is to help shift behaviours to a more diverse and environmental responsive business conduct.
RA promotes supportive workplaces and social environments, as well as the protection from bias and discrimination of vulnerable groups.
User-centered design starts with getting to know the people you are designing for through conversation, observation and co-creation.

Well-designed initiatives and digital tools consider the particular structures and needs that exist in each country, region and community.
Reusing and improving is about taking the work of the global development community further than any organization or program can do alone.
Addressing privacy and security in digital development involves careful consideration of which data are collected and how data are acquired, used, stored and shared.
Being collaborative means sharing information, insights, strategies and resources across projects, organizations and sectors, leading to increased efficiency and impact.
Building sustainable programs, platforms and digital tools is essential to maintain user and stakeholder support, as well as to maximize long-term impact.
Achieving scale requires adoption beyond an initiatives pilot population and often necessitates securing funding or partners that take the initiative to new communities or regions.
When an initiative is data driven, quality information is available to the right people when they need it, and they are using those data to take action.
As a humanitarian actor, our vision includes a world of equal opportunities where men and women are evenly valued and respected in all aspects of economic, political and social life.
Fostering equal opportunities and promoting women’s access to technical and engineering professions is not only a matter of fairness – it is critical to job creation, innovation, productivity and sustainable economic growth. For that reason we proactively promote gender equality and women empowerment in day-to-day operations as well as within our organisational culture of Relief Applications.
We want to make change visible inside and outside of the organisation by guaranteeing every employee a fair chance to fully develop his/her talents and potential and make his/her own personal contribution to the success of the company and the society as a whole.
Relief Applications officially endorsed the Women's Empowerment Principles.
RA is involved in the IT sector which demands a high generation of energy in order to develop, host and maintain softwares and services for the client. Reducing and, where possible, eliminating the environmental impacts of our activities is an important part of our mission by conducting our operations and activities in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner. Therefore we put in place an optional donation system in order to compensate for the carbon footprint: when a client purchases our services, we offer to pay an extra 1% of the overall budget addressed to an environmental project.
If the client agrees to contribute, Relief Applications commits to double the amount donating 2% of the overall budget. The accumulated 3% will be donated to a green project.
Every donation will be appropriately documented and publicly shared in order to guarantee transparency.
Relief Applications follows international labour and human rights standards. We are convinced that businesses have a stake in as well as certain responsibility for gender equality and green commitment. Therefore, we developed a Corporate Sustainability Strategy which we are constantly reviewing and adapting.
We aim to become a vehicle for corporate delivery on gender and environmental dimensions of the 2030 Agenda and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We commit to this agenda and will continue working collaboratively in multi-stakeholder networks to foster business practices that empower women and reduce environmental impact.
As an integral part of our management responsibility, particular emphasis will be put on equal gender recruitment and the anchoring of diversity goals. This involves not only awareness raising, the promotion of an inclusive workplace culture, stronger gender balance and pay equity, but also high engagement levels of both male and female employees.
